Company History

Founded by James F. Fisher, MAI in 1989, Realty Advisors (Formerly known as Western New England Appraisal) rapidly gained regional prominence as one of the foremost commercial real estate appraisal firms in New England. Realty Advisors is headquartered in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Benefiting from its location, as well as its growing reputation for quality work product, Realty Advisors has been able to attract a talented staff of seasoned professionals with a broad range of experience in both local and national real estate markets.
In response to demand from regional financial institutions in the Boston area, an eastern Massachusetts office was opened in early 1991. This office is now under the direction of Thomas G. Fisher.
MassComp Data was formed in 1993 as the first data base of commercial real estate transactions in Massachusetts. The product is now used by hundreds of real estate appraisers and real estate lenders and has been instrumental in broadening the scope of services provided.
In 1994, buyer brokerage, site selection and advisory services were added, creating a full service firm. Combining a national real estate perspective with an in-depth knowledge of local and regional markets these firms represent one of the region’s top resources for commercial real estate appraisal, real estate data, brokerage and related services. Augmented by multi-disciplined technical expertise, the firm prepares a superior work product that is designed to be functionally usable in sound real estate investment decision making.
